[文摘]:Attention is given to rectifying self-assembled ultrathin films, with emphasis on a description of the methodology and characterization of self-assembled films and construction of diode heterojunctions. The layer-by-layer self-assembly of alternating layers of polyelectrolytes, nanoparticles, and nanoplatelets is demonstrated to provide a viable soft solution processing approach to the fabrication of ultrathin rectifying devices. A schematic representation of the principles of electrostatic layer-by-layer self-assembly is provided. (AIAA)
